The situation
IAA Mobility Munich is every two years the largest mobility event worldwide. It has two pillars: the exhibition halls at Messe München-Riem for the trade audience, and public open spaces in Munich's city centre that turn the whole town into a showroom. Every OEM, every relevant supplier, every tech player around mobility is present.
What most exhibitors underestimate: the halls are only half the story. The real conversations, the deals, the trust that carries into the next years, happen at evening events during the fair week. At receptions, dinners, product reveals in unexpected venues. Anyone without their own format here disappears into the crowd.

Event logistics IAA
During IAA, Munich is under exceptional pressure. Hotels sold out, caterers stretched, logistics running across multiple locations. Six levers where Plan & Tat Events makes the difference.
During IAA Mobility, Munich is completely sold out. We reserve premium allocations up to twelve months in advance in the 5-star houses in Bogenhausen, at Maximiliansplatz and Promenadeplatz. For short-notice requests we tap into our network.
During IAA, Munich is in exceptional mode at several places at once: the exhibition grounds in Riem for the trade audience and public open spaces in the city centre. We plan the routes between the sites, shuttle traffic, VIP transfers and last-minute route adjustments due to closures.
From the off-site venue to the premium restaurant. Through our network of caterers, venues and service staff we find short-term solutions, even when others are long since out of capacity.
Evening events and special formats require permits, fire safety concepts and security services depending on location. Plan & Tat has the experience and contacts to get these through in the tight time windows of the fair week.

IAA Mobility 2027 is scheduled for 7 to 12 September 2027. It has two pillars: the exhibition halls at Messe München-Riem for the trade audience and public open spaces in Munich's city centre for the wider public. This makes it the largest mobility event worldwide.
As a rule of thumb: the earlier the better. At least 12 months lead time, better 15 to 18. IAA is one of the biggest mega-events in Munich. Premium hotels, top restaurants and event venues are tight a year in advance. Board retreats and VIP programmes call for even earlier planning because 5-star hotels require priority allocations.
The range is wide. A reception for several hundred guests sits, depending on scope, in the mid five- to six-figure range, a client dinner for a select group in the five-figure range. A staged product launch or VIP evening can reach six to seven figures. We plan from 100 guests upwards, calculate transparently and give a serious orientation in the initial call.

We are on site in Munich the entire fair week. When there are delays, weather issues, supplier drop-outs or programme changes, we decide in real time and along short lines. That is part of how we work: not handing over the nice concept and disappearing, but staying on site until the last guest.
Who is behind this
Behind Plan & Tat Events is me, Johanna Straube. I learned the event industry from the ground up, from 5-star superior hotels to deputy event manager with events for up to 3,000 people. During the fair week I am on site in Munich myself with an experienced team.
